43-year-old teacher arrested in Morebeng for raping a learner

According to police, the man raped an 18-year-old girl.

LIMPOPO –  According to police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the educator is attached to Morebeng Secondary School and allegedly raped the victim while she was still attending the school a year ago.

“The suspect has since appeared before the Molemole Magistrates Court and the case was postponed to the 27 March 2018 for a formal bail application to take place. The suspect remains in custody,” Ngoepe said.

He concluded by adding that the circumstances around how the ordeal occurred is subject to police investigations which are continuing.
