Decomposed body found on the side of a road in Lephalale

Police have launched a search for the suspects involved in the man's murder.

LIMPOPO – Police in Vaalwater, outside Lephalale, have launched a search for an unknown number of suspects involved in the murder of a middle aged man, whose body was found along the Boshoek gravel road in a state of decomposition.

According to police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, a passer-by noticed a human body lying across the road and notified the police, who reacted swiftly.

“On arrival, police found the body in a decomposed state. The man was wearing a light blue long sleeve shirt, dark blue trousers with a blue belt and no shoes,” Ngoepe explained.

The motive behind his murder is still not clear at this stage but Ngoepe says police investigations will tell.

“Anyone with information which can lead to the arrest of the perpetrators involved in this murder and who can assist in the identification of the deceased, may contact Detective Sergeant Oupa Koos Monyeki at 076 481 5356/076 733 0681; the crime stop number 0860010111; the crime line sms 32211 or the nearest police station,” Ngoepe concluded.
