Schools lock horns in various codes

Capricorn High School sports teams maximised on the home ground advantage during their Limpopo Schools League matches played against PEPPS College on Saturday.
Of the 11 matches played in netball, soccer and hockey the hosts won 10 and drew one. Cappies’s u.15A soccer team beat PEPPS 2-1 and the u.15Bs walloped the visitors 7-1. The second team match was played to a goalless draw while Cappies’ first team won 1-0.
In netball the visitors had no luck either as the hosts’ u.14A team won 11-5 and the B team 21-5. The hosts went on to outcompete the visitors 12-10 in the u.15, 17-3 in the u.16 and 30-20 in the first team match.
Cappies’ u.15 hockey team made the visitors eat dust with a 3-0 defeat while Cappies first team won 5-0. Capricorn High School sport organiser, Jack Senetla emphasised that all the teams did their best but that good fortune was on Cappies’ side on the day. He further said all matches were played in the first leg of the league.
