POLOKWANE – These areas have been without waters since yesterday (Thursday) morning due to a breakdown at the Olifantspoort Plant on Wednesday night, 2 May.
Due to the breakdown, the reservoirs were empty and water could not be supplied to the affected areas.
Repairs on the broken line was completed yesterday afternoon and the Polokwane Municipality have engaged with Lepelle Northern Water, requesting that more water be pushed to Seshego so that water supply can be restored.
“The reservoirs are picking up and water supply to affected areas should be restored by the end of business today. We encourage residents who do have water to use water sparingly as this will help that the reservoir fills up quicker,” said Matshidiso Mothapo, Polokwane Municipality Communication and Marketing Manager.
Water tankers have been deployed to the area.
The municipality has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
