Defending champs Northern Academy exit Curro Halala Cup
Rosina Sedibane ended the Polokwane team's title defence 2-0 at HeronBridge College, with St Anne's Technical going on to lift the 2026 trophy.
POLOKWANE – Defending champions Northern Academy were knocked out of the Curro Halala Cup after losing 2-0 to Rosina Sedibane at HeronBridge College this past weekend.
The tournament brought together schools competing for a place in the finals and a chance to be crowned champions.
Rosina Sedibane showed strong determination and teamwork to secure their place in the next stage of the competition.
Durban High and Clapham High advance
Durban High School also impressed on day two, recording a convincing 4-0 win. The result helped them finish second in Pool D and book their place in the Curro Halala Cup knockout stages.
Clapham High also secured their place in the quarterfinals after a strong performance.
Meanwhile, Meridian Pinehurst and Norkem Park played a closely contested match that ended in a 0-0 draw.
St Anne’s crowned champions
St Anne’s Technical High School emerged as the last team standing, lifting the Curro Halala Cup as 2026 champions.
