Siblings and Northview Christian Academy learners, Neo, 12, and Pebetsi Chigo, 7, had a memorable drive to school last Thursday as they were driven in a first Jaguar SUV, F-Pace R-Sport by local radio personality, Shonisani ‘Ashifa Shabba’ Muleya.
Ashifa Shabba said the radio station ran a competition together with Jaguar Land Rover Polokwane to afford one learner who attends school in Mankweng, Seshego and Polokwane to be transported to school and provided with a lunch box. He further indicated that parents have to send a WhatsApp voice note to the radio station explaining why their children are special.
Ashifa Shabba said he loved the interior of the F-Pace and the excellent suspension that allowed going through potholes and humps without feeling anything.
The winning duo liked the vehicle’s leather interior and comfort. Pebetsi said the ride was fun and the soft leather seats made her feel as if she was not sitting on anything. She further said she also loved the GPS navigator in the car and challenged her parents to purchase the vehicle.
Her brother Neo, the school’s deputy head boy stated that the ride was fantastic and that he too also liked the leather interior and comfort. Neo and Pebetsi’s mother Poppie indicated that they were honoured that the duo got such an opportunity. She added that she and her husband Joseph would definitely buy F-Pace if they decided to buy another vehicle.
Sales Executive at Jaguar Cindy Shabangu said the F-Pace two litre R-Sport is the car of the year 2015 and best seller on Jaguar range and reiterated that the interior is full leather. She further said this is the first SUV Jaguar has ever built. The F-Pace’s 8-speed automatic transmission is highly responsive, smooth and efficient. Its superior aerodynamic performance results in reduced fuel consumption, carbon dioxide emissions and wind noise while adding to high-speed stability and driver confidence.
