Brenda Pretorius (Northern Media Group, Production Manager) adds another certificate to the wall after being awarded the Regional Newspaper, Coldset bronze award at the Printing SA Northern Chamber.
POLOKWANE – It was a glamorous event, complete with a Great Gatsby theme. The Review production team showed they are a source to be reckoned with as they won the Regional Newspaper Coldset bronze award.
“We work hard as a team here at Northern Media Production and I am honoured to have the opportunity to work with such motivated employees,” Brenda Pretorius Northern Media Group, Production Manager, said.
“Everyone here pulls their weight and it is a common occurrence for us to still be busy with printing and inserts until the early morning hours,” she added.
“I give a big thank you to our team. We work together like a well-oiled machine and without each member’s input, we would not be able to accomplish what we do.”
Raeesa Sempe is a Caxton Award-winning Digital Editor with nine years’ experience in the industry. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand and started her journey as a community journalist for the Polokwane Review in 2015. She then became the online journalist for the Review in 2016 where she excelled in solidifying the Review’s digital footprint through Facebook lives, content creation and marketing campaigns. Raeesa then moved on to become the News Editor of the Bonus Review in 2019 and scooped up the Editorial Employee of the Year award in the same year. She is the current Digital Editor of the Polokwane Review-Observer, a position she takes pride in.
