SAPS horse unit visit Share Joy pre-schoolers

Learners from Share Joy Pre school were visited by Police officer, Jacob Manyashi, during a recent school career day.

POLOKWANE – The visit was to  familiarize the children with the police and to demonstrate how the police use animals to fight crime and protect residents.

Manyashi told Review that while growing up most children are told by their parents that if they are naughty the police will come and fetch them. This has resulted in children fearing police men and their reluctance to approach us,” he said.

“We are here to protect the children and not harm them. Parents must find alternative ways to reprimand their little ones otherwise I fear trouble for when they have to report crimes,” he explained.

“We are very fortunate to have received this visit from the police and the children did learn a lot from Mr Manyashi,” said Josephine Kinuthia (Owner and principal of Share Joy Pre school).
