Knobel Hospital Staff robbed at gunpoint by four armed suspects

Police say the robbery took place at around 02:00 am on Thursday morning, 19 July.

POLOKWANE – Police in Matlala have hit the ground running tracing four suspects who, at gun point, robbed Knobel Hospital staff of their belongings, says police spokesperson, Captain Mamphaswa Seabi.

“According to information received, four gun-wielding suspects arrived at the hospital staff residence and in the process, moving from door to door, the suspects robbed the occupants at gun point. They then fled the scene,” he explained.

Seabi says the following items were stolen:

– 12 cellphones

– Five laptops

– Nine Plasma TVs

– Two watches

– One Tablet

–  R1 200 in cash.

“Police are appealing to the community to not to buy any stolen items as this also amounts to an offense.
Anyone with information or who might come across people selling similar items are requested to call the Crime Stop number 0860010111 or sms 322 11,” he concluded.
