[VIDEOS] Krugerburg pipe leak has been repaired, says Municipality

The Polokwane Municipality says the pressure on the line is being closely monitored.

POLOKWANE – According to a statement by the Municiaplity, repairs to the Krugerburg line finished earlier this morning, 23 July, around 02:30 am.

“Water has been opened into the lines and it is expected that low catchment areas will be the first to be restored, followed by high catchment areas later as the levels in the lines rise,” the statement said.

This follows yet another weekend of no water for residents in Flora Park, Fauna Park, Serala View and surrounding areas.

The municipality says pressure on the line is being closely monitored and that residents will be kept abreast of any developments.

As part of accountability, the Executive Mayor has called for a meeting with the communities of Flora Park, Serala View and Fauna Park on this matter. The meeting is being arranged for tomorrow evening, 24 July and the venue will be announced once confirmed.

“The situation is extremely frustrating to the residents and we appreciate your patience during this difficult period,” the municipality stated.
