Burst pipe in De Wet Street to affect Bendor, Ster Park and surroundings

The municipality says it will only commence with repairs once the burst area is clear.

POLOKWANE – According to the Municipality, the Krugersburg reservoir’s outlet had to be closed due to a mainline burst pipe in DeWet Street next to Munnik Avenue.

Areas such as Flora Park, Bendor, Ster Park, Serala View and surrounding areas will be affected.

Due to water shortages being experienced and the need to not waste the water, the municipality has avoided draining the line for repairs and is allowing residents to use the water until the burst area clears for repairs.

“It is therefore not clear how long it will take before the line could be opened. Only then we will open up for repairs. An update will be provided on progress,” the statement read.
