Capricorn Quilting will present a Bushveld Sew Away which will entail three days of relaxing yet inspirational sewing with friends at Centenary House’s hall from 25 to 27 October. Ann Nel, owner of Capricorn Quilting at Platinum Park, said the project, which will be presented by Nicky Selby from Husqvarna Viking South Africa, will entail making a patchwork handbag from cork.
“The workshop will take place from 08:00 to 18:00 and there will be various packages available. Meals and accommodation will also be available,” she explained.
While Capricorn Quilting is a quilter’s haven, they also cater for knitting, crocheting, embroidery and sewing enthusiasts, and offer various classes.
Nico Nel, manager of Capricorn Quilting invited people to drop in at their store for a browse. “We are so much more than just a quilting store and would love to share our knowledge,” he concluded.
For further enquiries or to book your place at the Bushveld Sew Away contact him on 015 297 2146 during office hours.
