School introduces 2019 prefects

The names of Laerskool Ivypark’s learner leaders for 2019 were announced recently. Nicoleen Strauss, the head of prefects, announced the names to the educators and learners.
The group consists of 26 learners, from Grade 6 and lower, who are expected to act as a bridge between the principal, educators and students.
Their tasks included assisting educators to maintain quality class situations and the best possible school atmosphere. They must further ensure that the students uphold the school’s values.
Strauss said the head boy and the head girl will be announced in due course. “We are impressed with the learners we have chosen and expect that they will be good leaders next year,” she said.
