Police searching for three men in Phalaborwa house robbery

During the incident a 76-year-old home owner and a male employee were attacked and restrained

LIMPOPO –  According to a statement issued by Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the house robbery incident occurred on a plot outside the central business district of Phalaborwa.

“It is alleged that the suspects attacked the male employee while he was in his room, tied him up using rope and forced him to the main house. On arrival at the house they then threatened the 76-year-old homeowner with a firearm,  tied him up and robbed the victims.”
During the incident safe keys, four firearms, knives, cellphones, a hand-radio and undisclosed cash amount of money were taken, Ngoepe said.

After the victims managed to untie themselves they weant to the nearest house for help. The police were notified, reacted immediately and a manhunt  for the three suspects ensued.

The police urges anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of these suspects, to contact Lieutenant Colonel Mokgalane Ramokgopa at 082 573 3601. ALternaticely they can contact the 24-hour crime stop number at0860010111, the crime line SMS 32211 or the nearest Police Station.

The Police Investigations are still continuing, Ngoepe concluded.
