POLOKWANE – According to the Principal, Betty Boom the learners who put in the hard work achieved the best results at the end of the year and they must be celebrated and acknowledged for their hard work. “Both the teachers and learners put in the work necessary to ensure that they achieve top marks. We are proud of the learners’ efforts and dedication to their school work, may they keep the same attitude and spirit forward as they move on to the next level of their studies. I am glad that our learners embrace our motto that says Step Up which is a good thing. In our school we need a transformation in all learners. The image of the school is very important and I believe these learners are ready to put us on the map. We take it step by step and we will surely get there with God on our side of course,” said Boom.
Ernest Nong who is a teacher at the school said that the learners really lifted the school’s name higher this year with their hard work and dedication. “I’m grateful and thankful for the dedication that learners are putting in. It’s never been easy to be a teenager and experience adolescence stage at the same time and still manage to control that. I wish many learners can control that stage rather than being controlled by the stage, because it has a huge negative impact on learners. This group is not chasing success, they follow excellence knowing that success will chase them. I find it very interesting when a young person don’t wait for the opportunity to happen, but create one. Life is not about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself. I’m happy that they put education first which is what the Minister of Education needs as well as the country. Better things are still to come from the these learners, I can assure you. These learners deserve to be celebrated and honoured for their hard work, and I hope other learners will see them as motivation and work harder next year, so that they can perform well and good results,” he added.
One of the best performing learners, Tebogo Mosefowa said that it takes discipline and smart studying to achieve good results. “Throughout the year learners can dedicate their time to study and do additional research, this eases the work load as well as reduces the stress,” he explained.
