Athletes from 42 primary schools in the Pietersburg Circuit participated in the P1, P2 and independent schools athletics meeting that was held at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium last Thursday.
The nearly 500 athletes competed for a spot in the Pietersburg Circuit team to be selected for the Polokwane Cluster Athletics meeting scheduled for 8 February at the same venue.
Pietersburg circuit secretary Andronica Somo indicated that the meeting was to select top athletes to represent the circuit at the cluster and commented that all the participating athletes had done their best. She added that they were looking forward to the cluster championships and were confident that the selected team would make them proud.
