Uhuru Café will tantalize your taste buds with every meal

POLOKWANE – Of course there is always the hope that food, gorgeously presented on a fine plate, tastes as wonderful as it looks.
Uhuru Café surely offers among the fanciest and delectable dishes in town. The café is situated in Grobler Street and offers everything delicious on one menu. The establishment opened its doors on 15 February and can cater for 72 seated customers in a relaxing atmosphere. Their menu ranges from their Uhuru breakfast to a Mexican chicken wrap.
Their signature breakfast, which contains eggs any style, bacon, grilled haloumi, mushroom, balsamic grilled red onion and cherry tomatoes, choice of beef or hormone-free pork sausage is enough to clear your diary for the morning. The owner, Mmabogoshi Msiza decided to open a café as she wanted to offer the community something unique.

“I have been in business for 15 years and the café is actually one of my greatest achievements given that I actually had a vision for it for so long. I had a picture of what I wanted and it ultimately realised.” She said her future ideals also include opening a hotel, having worked in the hospitality industry for 12 years.
“I have also had a vision of owning a lifestyle centre where I could create an environment that is safe and inclusive under one roof,” said Msiza. Mmabogoshi this year concludes her term as a Chairperson of the Business Woman Association South Africa (BWASA). She matriculated at Makgoka High School in Boyne in 1992 and went on to study a B.A. degree in public administration at the University of the Western Cape, from where she enrolled for a B.Comm accounting degree at the University of Witwatersrand (Wits). She acquired a practical audit certificate with Anderson Consulting, and acquired a certificate in project management with Damelin College. Msiza also earned a Goldman Sachs 10 000 Women Entrepreneurship Programme certificate with the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
