Pietersburg English Medium Primary School (Pemps) Grade R learners celebrated the school’s 18th birthday with parents and educators at the school last Friday.
The school first opened its doors in 2001 and it has since grown to become one of the top pre-primary schools in the city.
Headmaster Karin Adlem described the school as the foundation of every learner. “We are grateful to have reached this milestone. This is where the real future started for many students. So many students passed through the school. Some are at various tertiary institutions and we would love to see them achieving all their goals and fulfilling their hearts’ desires,” Adlem said.
She stressed that she was happy to be part of development and the growth of the school. “I joined the school in 2003. I saw an opportunity and I have never looked back. Together with the parents and educators we built everything step by step and it has been good to see everything falling in place,” Adlem commented.
