LIMPOPO – Police in Hlanganani, outside Giyani, have launched a search operation for a 49-year-old woman and her five-year-old son.
Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says Tasmania Violet Mashele and her 5-year-old son, Xihluke Gabriel Ngobeni, from Olifantshoek, allegedly left their home on Friday morning, 12 April 2019.
“According to information received, the woman told her nine-year old son that she would be attending a traditional ceremony but didn’t mention the location. The woman is reported to be mentally challenged,” he explained.
Mashele and her son left home with two bags of clothing.
“Anyone who knows the whereabouts of these missing persons is requested to contact Warrant Officer Marivate at 082 319 9686; the crime stop number on 0860010111 or the crime line SMS at 32211,” Ngoepe concluded.
