Polokwane to host national Youth Day celebrations

Polokwane Cricket grounds is expected to be a hive of activity when the 2019 National Youth Day commemoration is hosted there on 16 June under theme ‘25 Years of democracy: a celebration of youth activism’. President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to give a keynote address at the event.
Spokesperson for Premier Stan Mathabatha, Kenny Mathivha said the province is proud to host the national event and urged young people to come in their droves to support the occasion.
“We were planning to host our provincial event in Vhembe on the day. We are just pleased to host the national event because we will have young people from different parts of the country on our shores.”
