Kgakoa Senior Secondary School clean-up for Mandela Day

The learners at Kgakoa Senior Secondary School in Makgodu Ramongwana showed the importance of honouring days like Mandela Day.

POLOKWANE – To honor Mandela Day, the learners and staff cleaned up their school and the area outside of the school premises on Friday, 19 July. A member of the RCL, Mashadi Madiga explained that they realized the school needed a clean-up. “We realised that our school is very dirty and there is a dumping side next to the school fence on the school grounds. So as the school we decided to clean up the place with the aim to make our school environment clean,” she said.

They also took the time to clean the school library, the school lab, as well as the classes and office.

“The main reason for packing up the library is that we want to have a proper school library that can be used by the learners and also develop the passion for reading in the school,” she added.
