Jacqueline visited Northern Academy Primary School on Monday 19 August to speak about recycling and littering. She was joined by General Manager, Jeanette Fourie from Mpact Recycling, one of South Africa’s leading paper and PET recycles, where they explained to the learners how much littering affects our planet.

Jacqueline added that there are only 18 months to reverse the effects of climate change. “If we do not start making a difference, where will we be 18 months from now?” she asked the learners.

She further explained that recycling helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing energy consumption and that when using recycled materials to make new products, it reduces the need for virgin materials, thereby reducing the strain on our planet.
