Themane trial set for 2020

The trial of two adults and nine juveniles suspected of being involved in the killing of Thorisho Themane in Flora Park in February is anticipated to start in the Limpopo High Court early next year.
Provincial Police Communications Head, Motlafela Mojapelo on Tuesday confirmed that the case was referred to the high court for trial during the suspects’ appearance in the magistrate’s court last Wednesday.
He indicated that the trial has been set for 27 January to 7 February.
Chuene Maleka and Alfred Mothapo and nine minors, aged between 13 and 17 years, are suspected of being responsible for the death of Themane.
He died in hospital on 23 February after he was allegedly attacked by a group of youngsters in Flora Park.
The incident was filmed and trending on social media within hours.
