Maritz: I was not removed from SPCA committee
Marcelle Maritz, former manager of the Percy Fyfe SPCA, told Bosveld she resigned from the SPCA in September, and was not removed from any committee of the SPCA.

According to Jaco Pieterse, Senior Inspector of the NSPCA and manager of the society’s liaison division, four committee members were removed for claims relating to mismanagement, animal negligence and non-compliance with the SPCA regulations.
Maritz told Bosveld that she resigned as manager in August last year.
“I only served as an aspiring committee member again in July and August this year and was then elected chairperson of the SPCA shortly before the video of me ended up on social media. I then resigned.”
The video she refers to surfaced on social media last week, and shows Maritz allegedly using derogatory language.
