Business owners and managers in the liquor industry such as taverns, liquor outlets and restaurants in the city are urged to attend an urgent meeting to be held at Polokwane Police Station on 5 November at 10:00.
The meeting will take place in the boardroom on the fifth floor and will be aimed to address issues relating to liquor trading in the city and for business people to pledge solidarity to the #We Will Comply Campaign.
The campaign focusses on liquor traders to comply with the terms and conditions as set out in the Liquor Act.
Traders will also be informed and asked to always ensure that their liquor licences were properly displayed at their business premises, to renew their licences before the expiry date, to comply with the conditions of the licences, to adhere to trading hours and not to sell alcohol to minors or to allow drunkenness on their premises.
