Sekhukhune Muni the best performer at Environmental Health Awards
Sekhukhune District Municipality was honoured as the best performing metropolitan and district municipality at the Alfred Nzo Environmental Health Excellence Awards.
LIMPOPO – The awards are named after struggle icon and visionary, the late Alfred Baphethuxolo Nzo, who besides dedicating his life to the struggle for freedom, was a pioneer of environmental health.
The awards were introduced in 2002 as part of the Minister of Health’s Excellence in Health Care Awards. Willy Mosoma, SDM Spokesperson, said the municipality was named the overall winner on 25 September and that the mayoral committee, which is the highest decision making body between councils, officially welcomed the award on 22 October.
