MEC visits bereaved relatives after N1 accident claims family of six

The deceased include the father, mother and four children

LIMPOPO – The MEC for Social Development, Nkakareng Rakgoale earlier this week visited the Ramulifho family, who lost six family members in an accident which happened on the N1 road next Walmansthal in Gauteng on Sunday, 12 January.

The deceased include the father, mother and four children from Malonga village in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality.

The MEC has since deployed social workers to provide psycho-social support services to the bereaved family and friends.

The MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Namane Dickson Masemola has also sent his condolences to the Ramulifho family as well as to the families of four people who died in a hit-and-run incident. The incident happened on the R579 road in Diphagane area in the Makhuduthamaga Municipality in the Sekhukhune District on Wednesday, 8 January. Three other people also sustained critical injuries.

Masemola says these deaths are a grave loss to the province as much as to the families and loved ones of the victims.
