[TAKE NOTE] Planned shutdown for substation maintenance

Municipal technicians will replace faulty 11 kilovolts (kV) panels at the Hospital Substation during this downtime

POLOKWANE – Residents and businesses within the Seshego area are notified of a planned power shutdown on Sunday, 16 February. This is to enable municipal technicians to replace faulty 11 kilovolts (kV) panels at the Hospital Substation, says Spokesperson for the Polokwane Municpality, Thipa Selala.

The shutdown will be from 06:00 until 16:00 and the areas which will be affected include:

• Zone 1;
• Part of Zone 2;
• Seshego Circle Centre;
• Madiba Park;
• Lithuli Park Phase 1 (9A);
• Hospital View;
• Seshego Hospital; and
• Extension 73.

Electricity supply will be restored once the technicians have fixed the faulty panels, adds Selala.

He further reminds users in the affected supply areas, to treat all electrical wiring as live during this period in order to avoid injury or damage. All electricity related challenges can be report to the municipality’s electrical helpline at 015 290 2490 / 2705.
