‘Lord You Are Worthy’ – Bonnie Crystal
Lord You Are Worthy is her latest single and was inspired by her life journey and the difficulties that she has had to overcome.
POLOKWANE – Bonnie Crystal is healing wounded souls through her soon-to-be released album, Modimo Wa Diphodisho.
Born Bonnie Mogale, she is a Gospel artist from Jane Furse and recently released a single, Lord You Are Worthy, which will form part of her upcoming album which will be released under the label Faith Records owned by Solly Maluleka.
She explained that the only genre she sings is Gospel because she was born again at an early age and she loves God. “I started singing at the age of 12 in the school choir and by 15 I was singing at crusades. I remember the first time I sang at a crusade, the pastor who preached handed the microphone to me to sing to the audience. It was my first time singing for such a big audience and supported by instruments. Since then, I have sung at various ministries,” she said.
She recalled being hosted by one church and at the time, the thought of releasing an album had not occurred to her, but she was introduced as the guest artist for that service. That was confirmation enough of her star quality and two weeks later, she was in studio recording music.
Lord You Are Worthy was inspired by her life journey and the difficulties that she has had to overcome. “It was by His grace that I overcame and when I look back, I realise that He is worthy to be praised for all that he has done in my life. My life was restored by God himself,” she added.
She has been with with Faith Records for months now and her album will be released mid March. “People should look forward to nice praise and worship songs. The songs are anointed and people will get healed by the powerful songs that are on the album,” she said. The album will be released on all digital platforms and on compact disk.
