Coronavirus: Repatriated SA citizens land in Polokwane
They will be placed under quarantine for 21 days as an additional precautionary measure.
POLOKWANE – Over 100 South African citizens who were evacuated from Wuhan following the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak touched down at the Gateway Airport earlier this afternoon. They will be placed under quarantine for 21 days as an additional precautionary measure.

The Ranch Resort outside of the city was earlier identified as a quarantine proximity point following a breakdown of talks over the initial quarantine point, which had been in the Free State.

The resort has since been placed under lock down for the next 21 days and the premises patrolled by both the army and the police to ensure that the quarantine is observed conscientiously, reports The Citizen.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize earlier emphasised that none of the citizens was reported sick and none of them have contracted the virus but said that the “law of the military” would be put in place and anyone who showed any evidence of the presence of coronavirus would be removed from The Ranch Resort and taken for treatment.
