Lim Treasury Dept closes doors after official tests positive for Covid-19
The official is based at the head office in Polokwane.
POLOKWANE – The Provincial Department of Treasury has temporarily closed its doors after an official tested positive for Covid.
In a statement, Departmental Spokesperson, Thulani Twala confirmed that the affected official is based at the head office in Hans van Rensburg Street.
“The official is currently in self-isolation, but in accordance with health protocol, the offices were closed, effective from today (Monday, 20 July) to Wednesday, 22 July.”
The department appealed to employees and the public to adhere to the prescribed Covid-19 regulations and protocol to limit the spread of the virus and the devastation caused in the province.
Twala added that all other departmental offices within the city and in all districts are still open to deliver services.
