Limpopo’s Covid-19 positive cases breach 60 000 mark

The province recorded a further 237 positive cases in the last 24-hour reporting cycle. Here is a breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality:

LIMPOPO – According to the Limpopo Health Department, the province recorded 237 new Covid-19 cases in the last reporting cycle, bringing the total number of cumulative positive cases in the province stands at 60 100.

As of 13 February, the province has recorded57 011 recoveries and 1 633 deaths. There are currently 1 456 active cases of Covid-19 in the province. Of the total, 38 cases are in-transit cases and 37 are unallocated cases. In the last reporting cycle, the Waterberg district recorded the most new cases (81, followed by Sekhukhune (47), Capricorn (38), Vhembe (37) and Mopani with 34 new cases.

Mogalakwena municipality recorded the most cases (54) followed by Polokwane (28) and Makhuduthamaga (21).
