[WATCH] All the emotions as Polokwane’s matriculants receive their results
Review spoke to the matriculants from various high schools in the city to find out what their reactions to the matric results were and their plans for the future.
POLOKWANE – The National Senior Certificate (NSC) matric results for the Class of 20202 were released at midnight on 23 February. The matric pass rate for the group stands at 76.2 percent , a 5.1 decline from 2019, however these results came with tears of joy and a sigh of relief for many.
Review spoke to matriculants from local schools to find out what how they feel about their results.

Gundo Mulaudzi from Capricorn High School was in tears after getting her results. She explained that she felt overwhelmed by everything but was very happy with the results.
Masindi Muluvhahothe from Capricorn High School was accompanied by her sister Mavhungu to collect her statement. She was nervous about seeing her results.
Lehabo Shibambo from Capricorn High School expressed relief that the wait is finally over and she was nervous but not worried about her results.
Twins, Matshidi and Makgomo Mabulane from Hoërskool Noorderland celebrate their results. They explained that the results made their day and they are excited about the new chapter that they are about to get into.
Koena Malatji from Hoërskool Noorderland is happy with her results, she said that they were unexpected but in a good way.
Prudence Mphahlele and Gudani Ramba show off their statements. They were happy with how well they performed in Gr 12 and look forward to starting afresh in university.
Oratile Ubane and Kabelo Semenya said they had been nervous about their results but the outcome was good. They are happy with how well they have done.
Freddy Monakgisi and Thoriso Mabitsela got good marks. They are relieved to finally know that they are done with high school and can look forward to life in university with newfound freedom and responsibility.
Kamo Nkune and Mahlodi Leseka give their results a thumbs up. They are happy with being able to proudly show off their results.
Nare Montja couldn’t be prouder at how well he did under the circumstances and the pressure they were under last year.
Lwaleng Monyela and Ayush Maharaj from Capricorn High School are feeling anxious about the results despite religiously being part of prize giving at the school over the years.
