[TAKE NOTE] Muni to replace broken power pole

The municipality says the affected areas will be without electricity for around eight hours.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality this morning notified the public about a power disruption in the Hospital View and Seshego area.

Thipa Selala, Municipal Spokesperson says a transformer that is supplying power to the affected areas is mounted on the broken pole that has to be replaced. “Electricity supply to Hospital View and part of Zone 1 in Seshego was switched off at 08:30 and the estimated restoration time of supply is around eight hours.”

He advised all affected customers to treat all electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances to avoid injury and damage once supply is restored.
