The shutdown will last four hours and residents in the affected areas are encouraged to switch off all electrical appliances to avoid damage once power is restored, says the Polokwane Municipality

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality has announced a planned electricity shutdown for Zone 2 and 6 in the Seshego area on Thursday, 20 May from 08:00 – 12:00.
Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says the planned electricity supply interruption is to allow the electrical contractors to mount a new low-voltage breaker.
“All customers in the affected areas are advised to treat all electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances during the four-hour interruption to avoid injury and damage once power supply is restored.”
All electricity challenges can be reported to municipal switchboard number at 015 023 5000, the electrical helpline at 015 023 5490 / 5707 or via WhatsApp at 083 824 9886.

Meanwhile residents are reminded about the planned 6 hour water shutdown on Thursday. Selala says the water will be turned off from 08:00 to 14:00 to allow the water team to investigate reported illegal connections along the main pipeline near Boyne.
The interruption, which will affect several areas of supply within the city.
