Taxi overturns on D4040 road

LIMPOPO – One person is dead and several others injured after a taxi overturned on the D4040 road.

The incident happened at Ga-Malepo outside Mankweng at around 16:30.

According to Media Liaison Officer for the Department of Transport, Mike Maringa, one person died in the incident.

“Several others sustained minor injuries and were treated on the scene,” he added.

Meanwhile in a separate incident earlier today, two people sustained injuries in a truck crash on the R36 neat Modjadjiskloof.

According to reports the one truck drove into the rear of the other. The driver and passenger in the truck sustained light injuries.
