[WATCH] Smoke from Myngenoegen fire billows meters high

Fire and emergency services are currently on the scene.

POLOKWANE – A thick cloud of black smoke emanating from the Myngenoegen area is due to a raging fire in the vicinity.

An eyewitness on the scene told Review that the smoke is due to a veld fire and tyres burning on an empty plot.

Due to windy conditions in the city, residents as far as Annadale and Hospital Park say the smell of smoke has wafted into their homes.

Fire and emergency services are currently on scene to try and douse the blaze.
