POLOKWANE – Are you above the age of 35? Then the Limpopo Department of Health and Mall of the North invites you to get vaccinated.

Eligible residents will be able to get their Covid-19 jabs at the mall tomorrow (July 28) between 08:00 and 16:00.

“If you struggle to register on the system, the department will be able to assist you tomorrow. Please remember that you must bring your ID book/card,” mall general manager Sumari de Ridder said.

She added that the vaccines to be administered will be the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, confirmed by the health MEC spokesperson Thilivhali Muavha. 

“We care for our community and we care for you. Stay safe and well,” De Ridder added. 

Meanwhile, Muavha said Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba in partnership with SAPA YOPA will lead a team of vaccinators to vaccinate all bikers from various clubs in the province.

“They will be vaccinated at Mall of the North as part of the outreach vaccination program to fight against Covid-19 in the province,” he added.

Ramathuba said bikers are part of their critical stakeholders when it comes to their awareness campaign in eradication of all diseases.

“It is important that we also make this special arrangement for them to be vaccinated and continue with their work of supporting us in our fight to stop the spread of this deadly virus and also to help us deal with the current anti-vaccine campaign in our communities. Members of the public who are above 35 will also be welcomed to be vaccinated because it is the right thing to do. Remember vaccination saves lives,” explained Ramathuba.

Muavha told Review that only bikers above 35 will be vaccinated.
