Water shortages affect most areas within the city

Ongoing power outages at the LNW operated Ebenezer plant has resulted in low reservoir Levels, says the Polokwane Municipality.

LIMPOPO – According to the Polokwane Municipality several areas within the municipal area are experiencing water shortages and low water pressure due to low reservoir levels.

Areas currently affected include parts of the central business district, Moregloed, Serala View and Flora Park.

According to municipal spokesperson  Thipa Selala reservoir levels have dropped due to ongoing power outages and resulting stoppages at the Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) operated Ebenezer plant.

‘Water tankers have been deployed to the affected areas to provide temporary relief until reservoir levels improve.”

Residents are advised to use water sparingly and to report water related challenges to the Water and Sanitation call centre on 015 023 5376 / 5629.
