Polokwane police investigate disappearance of local doctor

The doctor is said to be an orthopaedic surgeon at a private practice in the city.

POLOKWANE – The police in the city have launched a search operations for a local medical doctor who went missing earlier this week.

The 49-year-old Dr Tsaka Matome Wilson Kganakga is reportedly an orthopaedic surgeon at a private practice in the city and disappeared without a trace on Monday (August 16).

According to police spokesperson Sgt Mienkie Ramakgoakgoa, Kganakga was last seen at his place of residence in Serala View at around 14:30.

“It is alleged he left his home without mentioning to anyone where he was going. He was wearing a pair of black trousers, a white T-shirt and black shoes when he left.”

Police have conducted searches in and around the area as well as at relatives and friends, without any success.
