Three areas in Polokwane without water: Here’s why

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said water tankers have been deployed to the affected areas.

POLOKWANE – Residents of Penina Park, Ivy Park and Ivydale will be without water supply for a large part of today (October 14).

Polokwane Municipality spokesperson Thipa Selala said the temporary shortage is due to the servicing of a pressure return valve (PRV).

“The shortage will be between 08:00 and 14:00. The activity is necessary for the line to run effectively, and water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas,” his statement reads.

Selala said supply shall be restored once the municipal team has serviced the PRV.

“Residents are urged to report any challenges to the Municipal Helpline on 015 023 5000/5001/5458 or the Water and Sanitation Call Centre on 015 023 5376/5629,” he concluded.
