Have you ever seen a self-driving pimped Toyota Corolla?
Seshego resident Joy Motswi has spent over R150 000 to pimp out his 1989 Toyota Corolla.
POLOKWANE – Joy Motswi, also known as Izinja Ze Game, says his custom ‘Enemy of the State’ 1.3 2E 1989 Toyota Corolla convertible turns heads wherever he goes.
The 34-year-old from Seshego Zone 3 bought the 1989 model in 2008 and customised the engine, the interior, body work and the all-round look of the vehicle.
He says his custom work embodies the kasi and can drive itself as it has Master Techno artificial intelligence installed.
In addition, the car has a parking sensor and an inverted electrical DB board that transfers 12V of electricity which Joy uses for the car’s 32-inch plasma TV, DStv and PlayStation console.
He tells BONUS that he built up the engine by inserting 60-inch pistons to get more power on the road.
“The engine I built cost me about R60 000 and I still want to add more to the vehicle because it is something that I love. In total I have spent over R150 000 on the vehicle’s custom work. I prefer driving vintage cars because they make me feel good and I enjoy a vehicle that I can customise myself. I am busy with the interior of the car as I want it to be pure white,” he says.
Joy says the car boasts a massive sound system, is fuel efficient and has both a hard and soft top. Other features in the car include a wine rack, smoke machine, CCTV camera, Golf 7 mags and a convertible bonnet that he can turn into a table when he needs one.
