Simphiwe’s book places God at the centre
Successful businessman and author Simphiwe Mdlalose launched his eighth book titled Placing God at the Center which is a weekly spiritual reflection for men.
POLOKWANE – “I’m not too happy with the sale of the book, and I believe there is room for improvement. I’m ecstatic about the content I have been able to develop over the past 10 years. I’m also extremely happy about the impact I have made in the lives of those who have had the pleasure of buying and reading my books. The feedback had been both fulfilling and encouraging which is why I keep writing,” he said.
Placing God at the Center was developed with the idea of helping the reader to make prayer part of their daily routine. “The book helps to give structure and focus for the month, week and day. As a reader you’ll find a message that will help you with the focus of your prayer for the week and daily scriptures to ponder on as you go through your week,” he said. He added that it has been his experience that when one has focus areas to pray on it does help their prayer life. “If you need to put structure to your prayer life, this is the book for you.”
In 2019 Simphiwe published a similar book for men titled Preparing Men for the Master’s Use which shares seven principles that can be followed by men in order to be used by God. “Following the success of that book, I was inspired to develop a daily devotional for men. The book is developed to help men with their daily prayers and devotions. The book is divided into 12 months with weekly readings and daily scriptures to help men during their prayer sessions. It is full of short and inspirational stories that are based on Biblical teachings. Any man who believes in the power of prayer will find this book a very useful tool. It is easy to read and easy to follow,” he said.
When he’s not writing, Simphiwe runs two MTN stores in the CBD and at Mall of the North. He juggles work, writing, motivational speaking and programme directing. “I have learned the art of planning and I use it to multitask between all the things I do. I enjoy every project and work surrounding my life and I do it with passion and dedication,” he said.
Simphiwe’s ninth book is complete and ready for launch next year. His 10th book is already 40% complete. “I have accepted writing as a calling and I have sufficient discipline to commit the time to keep writing,” he said.
