Pipe leak to affect water supply in Nirvana, Westenburg and Extensions

The Municipality says affected areas will receive temporary relief through water tankers. 

POLOKWANE – The municipality says repairs to a leaking, 500mm pipe on the corner of Devenish and Hans van Rensburg streets in the Polokwane CBD are likely to be completed this evening.

The leak is currently affecting supply in Nirvana, Westenburg and the Extensions.

Municipal Spokesperson, Thipa Selala says affected areas will receive temporary relief through water tankers. 

“The municipality will provide regular updates in terms of progress on repairs and apologises for the inconvenience caused,” Selala’s statement read.

Residents can call the water and sanitation helpline on 015 023 5376/5629 or the municipal switchboard number on 015 023 5000 for queries.
