No answer? Municipal emergency lines temporarily down

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala says the majority of the emergency lines at the call centre are temporarily out of service.

POLOKWANE – Most of the emergency telephone lines at the municipal call centre are temporarily out of order.

The water and sanitation, fire and rescue and traffic services emergency lines have been affected and according to Thipa Selala, spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality, the information technology team is attending to the problem.

The telephone lines for electrical queries are operational and residents can still log their queries via 015 023 5409/5707, via WhatsApp on 083 824 9886 or to Eskom on 015 299 0700. The municipality will provide an update once the service is restored, he added.
