Level 6 disruptive rainfall warning issued for Limpopo

SA Weather Service says the storms may lead to flooding of low lying areas.

LIMPOPO –  The weather service has issued an orange level 6 disruptive rainfall warning for most parts of Limpopo. The service said heavy rainfall is expected over the central and eastern parts of the province as well as the eastern and northern parts of Mpumalanga.

Storms are expected to develop over the afternoon from 14:00 into the evening until around 23:00.

The service warned that the heavy downpours can cause formal and informal settlements or roads to flood.  They advised people to try and seek shelter indoors and stay off the roads.
