POLOKWANE: Woman dies after being knocked down by minibus
The 27-year-old woman was knocked down along the N1 south of Polokwane on Friday.
POLOKWANE – A 27-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a vehicle along the N1 south on Friday (December 17).
According to Ross Campbell, a multimedia producer at ER24, the incident happened approximately 19km south of Polokwane.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 17:23 to find the body of the woman lying in the middle of the highway. Upon assessment the paramedics found that the woman showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival.”
According to eyewitnesses the woman was hit by a passing 22-seater minibus. No other injuries were reported.
The exact cause of the incident is still unknown and will form part of a police investigation. Law enforcement officers from the Limpopo Traffic Department was on-scene for investigations.
