‘Celebrate culture, religious and linguistic diversity’

On behalf of the council of Collins Chabane Municipality, Mayor Moses Maluleke wishes everyone a happy and safe Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

LIMPOPO – As Christmas and the New Year approach, we ask you to think about those who are unwell, who have been bereaved, the elderly, the vulnerable, especially orphaned children and those who feel lonely, and to be a good neighbour in this season of goodwill.

Let me also take this opportunity to wish our 2021 matric class all the best as they wait for their final matric results. Remember that your life is a reflection of what you believe in. You must set yourself achievable and realistic goals and believe in them, while working hard to achieve them.

We vowed to take action and unite to stop the spread of HIV/aids, drug and alcohol abuse and ritual murders.

We call upon the people of Collins Chabane Municipality to celebrate our cultural, religious and linguistic diversity. We must never allow culture or language to become a source of conflict and violence. We call on our communities to share, develop and celebrate our common values of solidarity and mutual respect.

I wish you and your loved ones, our staff and the hardworking men and women in essential services a truly happy and peaceful Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2022.

Do not drink and drive. Speed and fatigue kill; take regular stops and rest then proceed safely to your holiday destination.

Let us all Arrive Alive!

Mayor Moses Maluleke.
