CDM wishes citizens a merry festive season

Capricorn District Municipality wishes everyone a happy, fulfilling festive season.

POLOKWANE – This is the period that brings us closer to the end of the year, during which we were able to continue delivering services despite the devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Small businesses need every little support to recover from the pandemic. Let us therefore support them by buying local so they can keep jobs and contribute towards the much-needed growth of our economy.

As we celebrate the end of what has been a difficult year, let us not ruin the celebrations with abuse of alcohol, traffic offences, incidents of crime and other acts of inhumanity such as gender-based violence that usually characterise this period. Let us obey all traffic laws for safer traffic and pedestrian mobility. As our well-being can only be sustained by good health, we plead with everyone to get vaccinated and encourage others who are not vaccinated to do so and be protected against the fourth wave and save our festive season from the inconvenience of certain restrictions.

Lastly, we also urge you to please save water and avoid disasters. Remember to use our toll-free number 0800 666 777 for any emergency.

I once again take this opportunity on behalf of the Capricorn District Municipality to wish you well this festive season and a prosperous 2022!

CDM Mayor, Mamedupi Teffo.
