[TAKE NOTE] Street closures for ANC’s 110th anniversary celebration
The following affected streets will be closed from early hours of Saturday (January 8) for the duration of the event.
POLOKWANE – In a statement released the Polokwane Municipality notifies the public of planned street closures in the city). This is due to the African National Congress’s 110th anniversary celebration to be held at the Peter Mokaba stadium on Saturday (January 8).

According the statement the following streets and intersections near the stadium will be closed on Saturday from 06:00 for the duration of the event:
- Burger Street between Suid and Stadium Link 8 streets
- Magazyn Street from Suid to Webster
- Silicon Road between Suid and Webster
- Stadium Link 8 Street between Webster and Silicon Road
- Voortrekker Street from Suid to Silicon Road
- Webster Street from Suid to Silicon Road
The official programme will start at 11:30 and President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the January 8 statement at 13:00.
The municipality urges motorists and other road users to use alternative routes and to adhere to the traffic instructions given by the law enforcement officers and to use the designated parking spaces.
